“Me&Her” è il titolo scelto da Giulia Turri per il suo ultimo progetto fotografico.
“Me&Her“, nonché “Me e lei“ e i conseguenti molteplici significati: me e me stessa, me e la fotografia, me e la consapevolezza, me e il coinvolgimento emotivo, me e la trasformazione psicofisica dopo un percorso curativo.
Un circuito, dunque, che tocca non solo i soggetti immortalati ma anche la fotografa stessa e il fruitore.
Dieci donne con una diagnosi di tumore al seno si sono messe in gioco , denudate delle proprie fragilità, paure, insicurezze e punti di forza per porsi innanzi all’obiettivo di una macchina fotografica al fine di condurre lo sguardo dell’osservatore dentro la loro intimità.
Sono volti che scorrono, veloci, uno dopo l’altro.
Visi che celermente e delicatamente delineano, in primo luogo, la dignità dell’essere umano difronte a un dramma che ne cambierà per sempre l’approccio alla vita.
Enormi occhi che, silenziosamente, urlano la confusione interiore e, nella loro metamorfosi, evidenziano la tenacia dello spirito.
Sguardi accompagnati da innumerevoli domande: Perché io? Cosa mi accadrà? Cosa ne sarà del mio corpo? C’è ancora un domani?
Dieci storie e un itinerario comune che insegna l’importanza della condivisione.
Sorrisi più o meno celati pronti raccontare la bellezza della presa di coscienza.
Infine, sfondi scuri e un flash montato proprio sulla macchina fotografica, elementi che divengono simbolo del buio da cui queste donne sono emerse.
Tre delle opere sono esposte fino al 21 aprile in “Oltre l’amore oltre il colore” collettiva a cura di Cristiano Plicato presso il Museo Scalvini di Desio.

Me&Her” is the title Giulia Turri has chosen for her latest photographic project.
“Me&Her”, as well as “Me and her” and the multiple meanings that result from it: me and myself, me and photography, me and consciousness, me and emotional sharing, me and the psycho-physical transformation after a healing process.
A cycle that touches not only the subjects immortalised, but also the photographer herself and the viewer.
Ten women diagnosed with breast cancer have put themselves on the line, stripped of their fragility, their fears, their insecurities and their strengths, to place themselves in front of the lens of a camera, to lead the observer’s gaze into their intimacy.
These are faces that flow, quickly, one after the other.
Faces that quickly and delicately outline, above all, the dignity of the human being in the face of a drama that will forever change his attitude to life.
Big eyes that silently cry out inner confusion and, in their metamorphosis, highlight the tenacity of the spirit.
Eyes accompanied by countless questions: Why me? What will happen to me? What will become of my body? Is there still a tomorrow?
Ten stories and a common itinerary that teaches the importance of sharing.
More or less hidden smiles, ready to tell of the beauty of awareness. Finally, dark backgrounds and a flash mounted directly on the camera, elements that become symbols of the darkness from which these women have emerged.
Three of the works are on show until 21st April in ‘Oltre l’amore oltre il colore’ (Beyond Love Beyond Colour), a collection curated by Cristiano Plicato at the Museo Scalvini in Desio.
